Google Translate attempts Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody

Google Translate is a wonderful tool, letting us fill in the blanks when stumped for foreign words we should know or translating web pages in full. But how does it handle song lyrics?

Malinda Kathleen Reese decided to put it to the test, taking the lyrics of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and getting fans to use Google Translate to create a ‘bad translation.’

Basically this involves translating the lyrics into another language, then back into English, and doing so a couple of times. She then took the results, which are sometimes gibberish, and sang along.

You can see the fruits of her, and her fans, labours below. This series initially started as a celebration of 100,000 subscribers and has become a regular feature since then.
