Google's browser-based game turns you into a Jedi

Google has launched its Lightsaber Escape browser-based game, in which you attempt to escape The First Order using your trusty lightsaber.

An interesting touch is that the game uses your smartphone as a lightsaber. Your monitor, meanwhile, acts as your field of view, so you can live out your fantasy of being a Jedi.

When you visit the Lightsaber Escape website, you'll be given a specific link to visit on your smartphone. Then you have to go through a calibration process before you can embark on your adventure. We'd advise you to change the screen lock timeout on your phone; otherwise your display will shut off and you'll lose your calibration.

Google developed the browser-based game in collaboration with Disney, Lucasfilm, and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).
