Google's Nexus 8 appears in leaked photos
The Nexus 7 could be getting a slightly bigger and updated counterpart in the form of the Nexus 8 tablet, which has allegedly been shown off in leaked photos.

The pictures were posted on MyDrivers.com, but hide the tablet behind a protective slate of sorts. As a result, the finer details of the device are kept hidden. It also makes it more challenging to determine the authenticity of the snaps.

According to the source who sent the pictures to the site, the Nexus 8 will run the next version of Android, will have a 64-bit Qualcomm processor, and will have 3GB RAM. Up to this point, Android tablets have stuck to 32-bit processors, so this could be a significant step up. It also acts as a roadmap for the future, as it would open the door for tablets to feature more than 4GB RAM.

Google’s I/O conference takes place at the end of the month, so we should hear more about the Nexus 8 then.
