Blizzard today announced that it has almost completed work on the Android tablet version of its popular digital card game, Hearthstone.
The title will be released on both Android smartphones and tablets, but the latter is expected to receive the title first. The Hearthstone development team wrote, “The team has been hard at work to bring Hearthstone to that platform, and is making great progress. We’re taking things one step at a time and we’ve got our sights set on a release for Android tablets, our next new platform, before the end of the year.”
Blizzard also referenced the iPhone and Android phone version of the game. Work is continuing on these, but the team needs “a little more time to get that version right.” Early next year is the only time frame being given at the moment.
In the meantime, you can still play it on PC, Mac and iPad for free. With over 20 million people having played the title already, you don’t want to be the only newcomer to the arena when the title hits Android devices.
