Microsoft previously announced its plans to drop the Nokia name from Lumia devices, and the first images of a Microsoft branded Lumia device have apparently leaked.
The new Lumia device features Microsoft branding on the front and rear. The images, which come courtesy of Chinese regulator TENAA, feature a device that looks like a bigger version of the Lumia 530. At the moment, the device is simply titled RM-1090. It offers dual-SIM support and is expected to arrive with fairly low-end specs.
Little else is known about this Microsoft Lumia device. However, it doesn’t look like it will be too long before Microsoft unveils it officially.
Microsoft did hint at a new device launching soon when it announced the change of brands. This looks to be the first budget-friendly offering from Microsoft. Perhaps this is a bid to get the operating system out to more people who it can then hope to keep on as loyal customers.
