Android Lollipop is out in the wild - debuting on the Google Nexus 9 last week and rolling out to other Nexias we speak. But what about the millions of other Android users who are waiting for the update?
Well HTC users have some hope in the news that the HTC One M8 and HTC One could be getting their Lollipop on as early as this week. The (slightly) bad news is that this only applies to Google Play Editions of the phones, for now. That's because these handsets run a pure version of Android which doesn't require the testing and tweaking needed to get Lollipop working with HTC'sSense UI.
The better news is that this confirms HTC has Lollipop to hand and they're working on getting it to their other compatible handsets - a tweet from the 3rd of November said that they'll have the update live within 90 days. So that's early 2015 at the very latest.
More updates as we get them.
