New photos of the HTC One M9 have appeared online, just a week before the handset is officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress.
The HTC One M9 doesn’t stray too far from the series’ premium look if these shots are legitimate. It will, according to the photos from Phandroid, be available in gold, silver, and a very dark gunmetal grey. Apparently, the new handset will be slightly thicker than its predecessor at 9.61mm, but the trade-off is that it comes with a larger 2,900mAh battery.
Two German retailers got a bit loose lipped and revealed the specs of the device, meaning there won’t be much for HTC to talk about when it does announce the device. The most intriguing detail is that the rear camera is a 20 megapixel snapper with optical image stabilisation. It may still be capable of capturing shots with “ultrapixels,” but this dedicated camera is being moved to the front.
The HTC One M9 will be powered by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, will have 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage, though this can be bumped up by up to 128GB with a microSD card.
HTC will announce the One M9 at Mobile World Congress in a week’s time. Have they got any surprises in store at this stage?
