HTC used its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League to announce that the HTC One M9 will be unveiled on March 1st.
Hoardings surrounding pitches last night displayed the message, “The new HTC One, coming March 1.” It doesn’t mention the name, but there have been plenty of leaks in recent weeks indicating that it’ll be called the One M9. What is certain is that the flagship smartphone will be rolled out at Mobile World Congress.
HTC also tweeted an announcement of the phone’s announcement. The message read, “Let them stare. The new HTC One revealed 01.03.15.” Just in case its followers weren’t tuning into the Champions League last night.
All that’s really left to be covered is when the HTC One M9 will go on sale. HTC has been willing to put it on sale immediately after being announced, so there is the chance that the handset will be available to purchase from March 1st. At least we don’t have long to wait.
