HTC is currently running a competition giving residents in the U.S. a chance to win one of its upcoming HTC One M9 handsets. But the most interesting part of the competition, for international readers at least, is that the competition outs the retail price of the One M9.
The HTC One M9 will have a retail value of $599, according to the competition’s rules. It is mandatory to give the monetary value of a prize when running a competition in the U.S. So, while it’s not an official announcement, it certainly gives us a ballpark figure as to what to expect. And it’s pretty safe to assume that the HTC One M9 will be priced somewhere in this vicinity.
The HTC One M9 features Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU powers the device, supported by 3GB of RAM. It has a 20 megapixel sensor on its rear with an UltraPixel camera located on the front. The handset will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, overlaid with HTC’s own Sense skin.
Retailers will soon start taking pre-orders on the eagerly anticipated handset. The HTC One M9 will be available to purchase from March 31st. But, if you’re in the U.S. and think it could be your lucky day, you can enter the contest until March 24th.
