The Huawei TalkBand B2 is a hell of a lot better looking than the B1 and features many fancy new features but its also still a pop out bluetooth headset which just seems awkward to me.
That said, it does help the device stand out in the crowded wearable market, and Huawei has made great strides in bringing every other element up to snuff as well.
The B2 has come out with a serious case of fancy - now it features a touch screen where you can swipe through available notifications and many more advanced trackers to take note of how much fitness work you're doing. It also has a much nicer screen and will come in three colours - black, silver and champagne gold. You even get a leather strap with the last option.
If you do receive a call while you're using the B2, you press two buttons on the band to pop out the unit and then stick it in your ear as a bluetooth headset. Yes that's a real thing you can do with this wearable and I have to admit it's a bit weird looking and the device looks like some kind of alien proboscis when its coming out of the band. Still it doesn't matter if the audio quality is clear. And it's great that the B2 will work with both Android and iOS.
There's no confirmed release date for the Huawi TalkBand B2 yet but it should retail for €179 (€199 for the champagne gold version).
