Huawei teaming up with Google on Pixel tablet

Huawei teaming up with Google on Pixel tablet

Google has reportedly linked up with Huawei to produce the 7-inch Pixel tablet.

Tipster Evan Blass, who has a solid track record of tech leaks, says that the Pixel tablet will be released "before the end of the year." The 7-inch tablet will supposedly boast 4GB RAM.

It looks like Google is moving away from the Nexus brand altogether. Its upcoming smartphones are reportedly called Pixel and Pixel XL, while the tablet also seems likely to feature the Pixel name.

Google's tablets have had a tough run in recent years and it will be hoping that this tablet can reverse its fortunes in this market.

Google is expected to host an event on October 4 and its agenda could be pretty packed. There could be two phones, a tablet, a new Chromecast dongle, and a Daydream VR headset present on the day.
