Huawei’s newest flagship, unsurprisingly called the Ascend P8, will feature a larger display and a new “porcelain textured” shell.
The Ascend P8 will boast a 5.2-inch display with an improved 1080p resolution, according to Chinese site My Drivers. It will use HiSilicon's 16nm Kirin 930 for its processor, which is rumoured to be an octa-core SoC.
It is likely that the Ascend P8 will be another eye-catching device. My Drivers reports that it will feature a porcelain texture, though it’s not entirely clear what that means. You can get a glimpse at this textured body in the picture below. At the same time, Slashgear reports that the Ascend P8 will have the same metal build as the Ascend P7.
Huawei is yet to announce the device and it remains yet to be seen where the smartphone manufacturer plans to release its new flagship device. The U.S., for example, lost out on the Ascend P7.
