Instagram will finally translate to your local language

Instagram has just announced over 500 million active users and now we've got confirmation that a very significant feature has finally been added - translation.

According to this Help page, you'll have the option to see captions, comments and bios in your local language by hitting the 'See Translation' button in the coming months. This will of course depend on your language and the source language being supported by the software.

Instagram detects your chosen language based on your global phone settings, which will also determine how a piece of text is translated. It's also possible that older posts and comments won't be translated at this time.

This feature will be arriving on Instagram in July, bringing the global Instagram community even closer together.
