Apple as a company has always been cagey when it comes to talking about the internal specs of their smartphones and tablets. Partly, this is due to their interest in retaining a sense of magic out about their devices but its also because, on paper, their hardware is often nothing to write home about. And yet their results are usually phenomenal.
The iPad Air 2 looks set to change that trend a little. According to a report from Primate Labs, the internals of the tablet are blisteringly fast, particularly by Apple standards. The internal Apple A8X is a 1.5GHz triple-core processor with a massive 2 gigs of RAM. The company performed benchmarks which show just how far these specs outstrip anything Apple has done before.
In terms of recent releases, the iPad Air 2 is 55 percent faster than the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 Plus and almost twice as speedy as the iPhone 5s. It's also 68 percent faster than last year's iPad Air.
Basically, this tablet is going to be one of the fastest devices you've ever used.
The Apple iPad Air 2 has just arrived in stores in 30 countries worldwide, including Ireland, the UK and America.
