Apple's
iPad. You’ve probably heard of it. It’s kind of a big deal!
Doubt this? Well it’s sold 11.8 million units in the last three months, which represents a 151 percent leap from last year’s figures.
Apple's latest quarterly financial report was the source of this info. The
hardware giant hovered up a staggering $39.2 billion in revenue, $11.6 billion of that taking the shapely form of net profit between 1st January and 31st March.
Somewhere amidst this mountain of cash-monies, 35.1 million
iPhones were offloaded (an 88% jump on last year) while four million Macs were shipped.
The only ‘let-down’ was the sale of
iPods (remember those?!) which dropped 15%, shipping only 7.7 million units.
