Will Apple have a startling, yet universally expected, announcement next Month?
We recently discovered that
iOS 5.1 will be released on March 9th. Hurrah! However, coinciding with this news comes speculation over the announcement of the
iPad3*!
*This is a guesstimation of its title, not a confirmation. However considering the trend, it’s a safe enough bet...
According to
AllThingsD, Apple will host an event in
San Francisco during the first week of March. Their usual spot for such announcements has been the
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts so don’t be astonished if this indeed turns out to be the venue.
The incoming
iPad is theorised to have minor aesthetic differences from previous incarnations, but could allegedly feature a high-res 2048x1536 Retina Display and maybe even 4G connectivity.
If
Apple follows its typical format for
iPad launches, availability will follow announcement quite closely, approximately 1 week later. It seems a tad unlikely that this time next month we’ll all be lounging about swiping away on our shiny new
iPad3’s.
But it wouldn’t be unlike the enigmatic company to play things close to the chest...
