While we’re yet to get our hands on the iPhone 7, there are already rumours emerging about the iPhone 7S.
Apple blogger John Gruber claims that the front of the iPhone 7S will be all screen. He says that he has heard that the Touch ID sensor, front-facing camera, and speaker will somehow be embedded in the display.
This would mean the end of the big bezels above and beneath the display. There have been rumours pointing to this in the past. It’s been rumoured that Apple would build Touch ID into the screen and that Apple would switch to OLED displays, which would remove the need for backlighting.
Of course, the iPhone 7S is a long way off and it may be a little early to get a bead on what Apple has planned. Still, Gruber is a respected Apple blogger and clearly has faith in his sources. But we won’t get too excited until closer to the handset’s launch or, in reality, Apple makes an official announcement.
