iPhone 8 may not feature curved screen

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone may not feature a curved screen as previously rumoured, according to new information from HIS Markit analyst Wayne Lam (via MacRumors).

The design of the flagship iPhone 8 has been subject to much speculation over the past few months, with a number of reports suggesting that the device would come with a curved screen.

However, Lam believes ‘Apple will adopt a flat implementation of OLED design on their special iPhone model, which is analogous to the current 2.5D glass design’.

Lam also noted that the device will likely feature a longer aspect ratio design, similar to the LG G6.
