Irish brothers develop Apple Watch fast food ordering app

Irish brothers Conor and James McCarthy have developed Flipdish, a takeaway ordering app for the Apple Watch, and other iOS devices.

The app will let users browse menus from restaurants in their area. They will then be able to order deliveries with just a couple of taps. The brothers believe that the system will “revolutionise” takeaway ordering.

CEO Conor McCarthy said that they developed this system because of the frustration they experienced when ordering takeaway deliveries. He said, “Having to enter your address, or your credit card number, every time you place an order really frustrates me.”

The app includes geolocation, so you won’t have to enter your address every time, displays of previous orders, and is compatible with Apple Pay. Apple’s payment system has been introduced in the U.S. and will be released in Europe later this year.

Flipdish will be released in July for iOS devices. It seems like it will be particularly useful on Apple Watch, though some people may be hoping that the app can be disabled after a certain time.
