HTC is developing the upcoming Nexus 9 tablet on behalf of Google, and this may be the first image of the rumoured device.
The image, courtesy of @upleaks, shows the tablet, which recently made a trip through the FCC. It clearly shows Nexus and HTC branding on the back. It seems to be made of some sort of grippy, plastic material. The top left of the device features a rear camera with LED flash, while the base of the tablet features a microUSB port.
It should be noted that a HTC tablet matching recent Nexus 9 rumours passed through the FCC recently in a WiFI only variant. It is likely that the tablet will feature a Tegra chip, likely a 64-bit K1.
The Nexus 9 is likely to be one of the first devices to get Android L, Google’s latest version of its operating system. The tablet is expected to be announced some time later this month.
