Apple recently updated its iTunes U education application. The app was specifically designed for iPad, with teachers in mind, making the planning and execution of lessons easier with over 750,000 educational materials to choose from.
iTunes U now integrates with an assortment of ancillary education apps like iBooks Author and iWork. Teachers can also drag and drop lessons and educational content from other applications. iTunes U is now linked to the iPad’s camera functions, a feature teachers might find infinitely useful.
Finally, Discussions is a new app feature which allows students and teachers to contribute to self-created and appropriately regulated social feeds. Unsuitable content can be easily deleted by a moderator/teacher.
