Ever put your face on a singing and dancing e-card? Chances are you’ve used the JibJab service. And now you, or your friends, can star in even more gifs and messages, thanks to the release of the JibJab Messages app.
The app, which is available on iOS, lets you snap a selfie or select a photo from your camera roll. Then choose a background and your gif is complete. Finally, you can send the gif via text, Twitter, Facebook, email or by copying and sending the link.
Greg Spiridellis said that JibJab as a company is “in a state of constant evolution.” The duo was propelled to fame in 2004 with its video of George W. Bush and John Kerry singing “This Land is Your Land.” Over the course of their career, JibJab has dabbled in political satire videos, year-in-review videos, e-cards, and this newest venture.
Spiridellis explained, “Today, messengers are king and we intend to bring pioneering, premium content and tools to that channel the same as we have done in the past.”
You can send ten messages for free, but you will have to pay after that.
