John McAfee reveals Android smartphone

Anti-virus guru John McAfee is developing an Android-based smartphone designed to offer users unrivalled protection against hacking and data collection, as revealed by McAfee on his official Twitter channel.

Unlike other smartphones, McAfee’s device can switch off its own connectivity to the various sensors typically exploited by unfavourable types when hacking and collecting data.

Even the smartphone’s SIM card slot and WiFi chip can be disconnected, essentially making the device impenetrable through wireless means.

McAfee’s super-protected smartphone is expected to cost $1100 when it goes on sale later this year.
