Lady Gaga halftime show featured 300 Intel drones

Lady Gaga’s halftime show at last night’s Super Bowl 51 featured 300 Intel Shooting Star drones that formed the shape of the American flag, as noted in an article from Engadget.

Intel’s Shooting Star drones are a foot in width and weigh just eight ounces.

Each drone is fitted with a special LED capable of producing four billion colour combinations, and a central computer was used to coordinate all 300 drones’ performance during the halftime show.

Intel recently set a world record by flying 500 drones together (see video below).
