'Leak' confirms Google Pixel smartphones

New references to Google’s trio of Pixel smartphones rumoured for release this year have been found on the company’s latest Android Open Source Platform (AOSP), as reported by German website WinFuture (via Forbes).

The ASOP contains references to ‘muskie’, ‘walleye’ and ‘taimen’, the three codenames Google is reportedly using as references for the follow-ups to the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, plus a new phablet-sized device.

The listing on the AOSP also reveals that all three devices will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset.
