LG is expected to have some big announcements at Mobile World Congress, but is getting the party started early with the announcement of its X series handsets.
The two handsets, the X cam and the X screen, will each take one feature that you'd typically see on a high-end device, but they'll have a price tag that you'd expect to see attached to a mid-range handset.
The LG G5 is expected to feature a dual-camera setup and the X cam's specs won't help dispel these rumours. The X cam features both a 13MP and a 5MP sensor on its back, the latter of which should enable some advanced shooting modes.
Meanwhile, the LG X screen packs a secondary display located just above the main display. This can be used to display notifications, the date and time, and to quickly navigate to frequently used apps.
LG's X cam and X screen will be released next month. The X cam will be available in silver, gold, white, and pink gold. The X screen will be released in white, pink gold, and black.
