LG Confirms QHD Display for G3

LG Confirms QHD Display for G3
Record breaking pixel density for 2014 flagship smartphone...

Following reports that the LG G3, LG's forthcoming 2014 flagship smartphone, could be the first device to feature a QHD display of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of around 530ppi (assuming that the device features a 5.5" display), the South Korean company has come out to confirm the rumours.

Unfortunately, that's just about all it said about the device, not even confirming whether or not it would be called the G3 - althoug that's safe to assume given its previous naming conventions for top-end devices.

That hasn't stopped sites from speculating as to the final specs of the device, though, with a general consensus apparently being reached that we're likely to see a final product with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor,Adreneo 330 GPU, OpenGL ES 3.0 compatibility, Android KitKat 4.4.2, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built in storage space, a 13MP rear facing camera,a 2.1MP front facer, just for all you selfie lovers out there, and solid water proofing capabilities.

As none of this has been confirmed by LG, you'd be wise to take it all with a pinch of salt, but if the specs turn out to be accurate, we'll be in for one heck of a smartphone when it launches towards the end of Q3 this year!
