LG reportedly working on Android flip phone

LG could be working on a retro-styled flip phone that runs Android, according to a leaked picture.

The device is currently being labelled the Ice Cream Smart, according to @upleaks. The picture shows the handset running Android software that looks quite similar to the OS running on LG's other handsets.

LG actually has a clamshell phone on the market, but it’s only available in South Korea. The LG Wine Smart was released in September with a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 LCD display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel rear facing camera. That handset is aimed at the older generation who want bigger buttons and simple features.

It’s extremely likely that the Ice Cream Smart will follow in the Wine Smart’s footsteps. However, it will be interesting to see if LG makes the Ice Cream Smart more widely available.
