LG shows off rollable 18-inch display – sets sights on flexible TVs
LG announced that it has been able to create an 18-inch OLED panel that is flexible enough to be rolled into a tube that’s just 3cm across. The panel has a resolution of 1,200 x 810.

Not content with that, the company is setting its sights on flexible TVs that clock in at more than 60-inches. LG Display's SVP and Head of R&D, In-Byung Kang is confident that “by 2017, we will successfully develop an Ultra HD flexible and transparent OLED panel of more than 60 inches."

Alongside its prototype panel, LG crafted a transparent OLED panel has triple the transmittance of existing see-through LCD displays. What this means is that these panels have greater picture quality and cut down on any haziness.

Flexible TVs will make LANs and moving much more convenient, but how important is it to you if your TV will flex, bend or roll up?
