The upcoming LG Watch Urbane will reportedly cost €359.99, according to online retailer Expansys.
The online retailer is currently accepting pre-orders for the LG Watch Urbane. However, LG has not announced the official price of the device, so ,€360 could be the real price of the device or one designed to grab attention. If the latter is the case, mission accomplished.
The premium smartwatch is essentially a metal version of the G Watch R, though it’s also thinner, sleeker, and has a narrower bezel. The LG Watch Urbane has pretty much the same hardware under the hood as the G Watch R, but could retail for around €100 more.
LG is most likely hoping that the Watch Urbane will compete with the Apple Watch. While LG’s offering is the most expensive Android Wear device, it’s probably going to undercut Apple’s wearable. Perhaps LG is targeting those that are looking for a premium device, but think the Apple Watch is out of their price range.
The LG Watch Urbane will be showcased at Mobile World Congress in March. LG’s premium Android Wear will be available in gold and silver.
