Microsoft imagines the future of watching sports with Hololens

Microsoft's latest Hololens video shows how it could impact the experience of watching sports at home.

Using American Football as an example, the viewers are able to extend the picture beyond the boundaries of their TV, or transport the image to their table to get a different perspective on the game.

It may also be possible to get on-the-fly stats, see in-depth analysis, and see player holograms come to life in your living room.

Before you get too excited, it's unlikely that we'll see this become a reality any time soon. Microsoft plans to ship its Hololens headsets to consumers in 2020. But it's an interesting promo video nonetheless.
