The two handsets were revealed by Microsoft devices chief Stephen Elop at an internal team meeting, according to sources familiar with the company’s plans who spoke to The Verge. The selfie smartphone was previously revealed as codename Superman and has a 4.7-inch display as well as that 5 megapixel camera.
The second handset, which is codenamed Tesla, recently appeared in leaked images. It is being described as an “affordable high-end phone” with a PureView camera.
This unveiling comes shortly after Microsoft’s Jo Harlow revealed, in an internal company memo, that the company is planning to launch “other high-end products…very soon.” We may not have long to wait to hear what Microsoft has in store.
