Microsoft’s Surface smartphone could feature foldable technology, according to an article from Gadgets 360.
The article notes that a patent Microsoft applied for back in October 2016 and was granted in January this year contains plans for a “mobile computing device having a flexible hinge structure”, and is described as a foldable phone-to-tablet mobile device.
Experts believe that the upcoming Surface Phone could be the device in question.
Not much is currently known about Microsoft’s Surface Phone, but it is expected to launch at some point later in the year and feature three variants.
Microsoft isn’t the only company working on foldable smartphones; both Samsung and Nokia are expected to release their own foldable devices this year.
