Microsoft to preload apps onto Android devices

Microsoft has announced that it will preload its productivity apps onto some of Lenovo's Android devices.

Those who invest in one of the chosen devices will have access to Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and Skype from the off. This is the result of a patent cross-licensing agreement between the two companies that covers both Lenovo and Motorola devices.

Microsoft is no stranger to deals of this ilk, having previously linked up with the likes of Samsung, LG, Sony, Asus, and others.

Lenovo hasn't announced which of its devices will first ship with Microsoft's productivity apps pre-installed.
