We all thought that it was a redhead emoji that we needed. But we were wrong. We want to be able to flip people the bird. And soon, we’ll be able to do just that.
Microsoft will add the middle finger emoji in a Windows 10 update over the summer. Then we will be able to give the middle finger in one of six skin tones.
The middle finger was actually approved as part of Unicode 7 in 2014. Android and iOS have been holding out on us all this time. Microsoft will be the first to support the emoji, which has so many uses.
Are there no words to express your annoyance at someone? Give them the finger! Did they make a witty comment that you have no comeback for? Give them the finger! We’re guessing it’s going to make an appearance in a lot of messages.
The default colour will be grey, but you can select the skin tone that best represents you.
