Moto 360 smartwatch may be made of plastic
When the Moto 360 was unveiled, people sat up and took notice. However, in disappointing news, it is being reported that the smartwatch is dropping the metal design in favour of a plastic housing.

The news comes courtesy of Chinese site techweb, which claims that the watch will be 13.5mm as a result of the plastic body. This would mean that it would be chunkier than the LG G Watch (9.9mm) and the Samsung Gear Live (8.9 mm).

The same report suggests that the Moto 360 will come with wireless charging. This could also be a reason behind the extra bit of padding.

As always, it’s worth being a little bit sceptical about reports. The Moto 360 was previously shown off with a premium metal design and it was one element that really set the smartwatch apart from its competitors. We are waiting to see what Motorola has to say on the matter.
