New App Lets You Know if Your Android Device is Affected by Heartbleed
Free app gives users information on their device's vulnerability...

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past week, you'll know that the Heardbleed bug has been causing major issues for companies and websites across the globe thanks to vulnerabilities that open up certain versions of OpenSSL to malicious activity, potentially allowing sensitive user information to be accessed.

In order to keep users up to date with the latest developments, mobile security software developer Lookout Mobile Security has released an app that'll give Android users the inside scoop as to whether or not their phone is affected by the issues.

With so many different flavours of Android available right now, it's almost impossible for anyone to attempt to cobble together a definitive list of potentially affected devices, so this app is certainly welcome.

You can download the app for yourself from the Google Play Store free of charge, but it's worth noting that it only tells users whether or not their Android OS is vulnerable, it doesn't go as far as scanning your apps, which are a whole different kettle of fish.
