Huawei has detailed its new quick charging lithium-ion battery that will let you charge up your phone in minutes.
It showed off two types of batteries, a 600mAh capacity battery that can be 68% charged in two minutes and a larger 3,000mAh battery that can be charged to 48% in five minutes.
To put this into perspective, the iPhone 6S features a 1,715mAh battery and could theoretically be fully charged in around seven minutes.
Huawei says that the batteries will be integrated into next-generation smartphones in the near future.
It is also "confident that this breakthrough in quick charging batteries will lead to a new revolution in electronic devices, especially with regard to mobile phones, electric vehicles, wearable devices, and mobile power supplies.”
We're just looking forward to being able to charge our phones fully in the time it takes to make a cup of coffee.
