In stark contrast to its predecessor, the Moto G, the latest iteration to Motorola’s premier range has been called… the Moto G.
See what we did there? We’re not really sure why no distinguishing suffix has been attached this year, but the inclusion of some seriously impressive specifications certainly compensates.
The display is five full inches and 720p.
It has twin front facing speakers.
It has a 1.2GHz quad core CPU
It has 8GB of internal storage.
Its battery is over 2000mAh.
It boasts dual SIM support for certain territories.
It has a MicroSD slot as standard. And finally….
The new Moto G is roughly 15% more expensive than last year.
Aye this is to be expected for all these improvements, but bear in mind that the Moto G, priced as £145 in the UK and $179 contract in the US, remains substantially cheaper than the bulk of its AAA competitors.
