Nintendo’s Miitomo has hit 3 million users just a day after being released worldwide.
The social app was launched in Japan earlier this month and racked up over a million downloads. The rest of the world has followed in Japan’s footsteps giving into curiosity about Nintendo’s first mobile app.
Miitomo is free to download on Android and iOS. It lets users create a Mii avatar, customise their appearance, voice, and personality, and dress them up as they like. It’s also possible to use the camera on your smartphone to take a photo of yourself, which is then turned into a Mii. If you’ve been on Twitter, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen created Miis take the place of characters in art and comics, or scenes from films or TV shows.
