Meteor confirmed that its mobile network has crashed leaving thousands of customers without service.
Users have been unable to connect to the service for the past two hours. Meteor is aware of the issue and said that technicians are currently working to resolve the problem. Meteor tweeted, “We're aware there is an issue with mobile data & we hope to have a resolution very soon.”
The network also posted on its forums. It wrote, “Due to an incident with one of our mobile sites some customers are experiencing issues with their calls, texts and data. This issue is also affecting the MyMeteor service so some of you may run into trouble logging in.” Naturally, the company apologised for the outage. It is working on getting the issue resolved as soon as possible.
Meteor is yet to give any idea when normal service will resume. Some lucky users have said on social media that the service is working for them.
