According to “reliable sources” speaking to BGR India, the handset will be announced sometime in the week of June 23rd. This isn’t the first we’ve heard of this new smartphone; it was reported last month that Nokia was working on a new X device with a dedicated home button.
Specs posted to AnTuTu.com stated that the device would have a 4.3 inch 480 x 800 display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built in storage and a 5 megapixel camera. It was also suggested that the front-facing camera would clock in at 0.3 megapixels.
Like its predecessor, the new Nokia X is likely to be aimed at emerging markets with an entry-level price tag, though its specs have been upgraded.
