The Olympic games will be kicking off on the 5th of August and you're going to be seeing a lot of product placement for Samsung around the place.
That extends to the pockets of the Olympians because Samsung is giving away 12,500 limited edition versions of their Galaxy S7 Edge with special branding for the games. It's a pretty impressive promotion, and you can also feel special by picking up this unique edition.
The limited edition includes those coloured rings embossed on the back and accents around the buttons and camera, as well as a special pouch signifying the unique handset and a theme on the device itself. Check out how it looks in this video.
Now the word is that exactly 2016 of these handsets are being made available for sale around the world. So far Best Buy in the US has announced they'll be selling it for a pretty huge $850 (€770), which is even more than the cost of a regular S7 Edge. That premium may be worth it for collector's and we'll update when we find out about local availability.
