For a tiny company OnePlus has been grabbing some serious headlines. It's all to do with the launch of the OnePlus 3 which is promising top of the range specs for a mid range price.
The OnePlus 3 does have some very impressive hardware and some user reviews have even compared it favourable to flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S7. That seems a bit unlikely but there's no denying its great value for money.
The latest test sees the new handset going up against the iPhone 6s but this isn't a look at raw processing speed or RAM management, instead it's about the fingerprint scanner.
See which phone comes out on top.
It's a simple test and the results seem pretty definitive in OnePlus' favour. Now it is undoubtedly a newer phone and could have other processes speeding up the unlocking action but there's no denying it's a little bit faster.
Will that matter to you in everyday use? Well the point is a bit moot as it seems pretty unlikely an iPhone user was seriously considering a OnePlus anyway as it uses a different operating system. Still its nice to see a smaller company challenging the big boys as it can only result in lower prices for consumers.
