OnePlus is promising that people will be surprised by the features included to the successor to its OnePlus One, the OnePlus Two. The element of surprise is ruined somewhat by leaks emerging.
Rumours courtesy of GizmoChina suggest that the OnePlus Two will implement a "laser focus fingerprint identification system" embedded inside the home button. This should make handsets more secure. However, it also comes with the possibility that it will drive up the price thanks to the presence of more complicated hardware.
The handset is also expected to come with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, and could look quite similar to the Oppo Find 7.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed its plan for the OnePlus Two just yet. The manufacturer’s first handset was initially available through an invite-only system, but it was recently made easier to buy a OnePlus One with open sales every Tuesday. It’s unclear whether the OnePlus Two will be available under an invite system, if OnePlus will stick with open day sales, or if handsets will be readily available.
The OnePlus Two will be released in the third quarter of this year.
