After the success of the OnePlus One, Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has big plans to shake up the tech industry. OnePlus is set to unveil something on June 1st, which is likely to be the OnePlus Two.
OnePlus tweeted news of its upcoming event. It raised expectations by saying, “We’re always looking for ways to shake up the tech industry. And we think it’s time for change.”
The accompanying picture is of the OnePlus One, but it’s half erased, or half-filled in depending on your point of view.
A Geekbench Benchmark test for a device named OnePlus One A2001 revealed that this unknown device had an ARM Qualcomm @ 1.55 GHz with 8 cores and ran Android 5.1. This test was seen as confirmation that the OnePlus Two will come with the Snapdragon 810 SoC.
Previous rumours have also suggested that the OnePlus Two will feature a fingerprint scanner.
We don’t have long to wait. OnePlus will reveal its plans on June 1st.
