OPPO to unveil new smartphone photo tech at MWC

Chinese electronics manufacturer OPPO Electronics Corp. will unveil its new 5x smartphone camera technology at this year’s Mobile World Congress, as noted in an article from the Indian Express.

OPPO is referring to the upcoming tech as the next ‘breakthrough smartphone technology’, which will provide users with the ability to capture high-quality images with an unprecedented level of detail.

OPPO is not a particularly well-known name in the Western world, but you can expect this to change should the new technology prove as revolutionary as OPPO is claiming it will.

The company shipped 78.4 million phones in China during the fourth quarter of 2016, the highest for that period.
