Over Half of Spotify Users Now on Mobile

Spotify is the very popular music streaming service, which offers free and subscription models for those who like some tunes. The software is available on desktop, mobile and tablet and it turns out a lot of people are listening on the move.

New figures released by Spotify during CES confirms that 52 percent of Spotify usage is now on mobiles (42) and tablets (10). That's a lot of listening on the app, which is likely to become more fully featured as rival systems like Apple's streaming service step up to the plate.

The stats also showed that all active users stream an average of 150 minutes a day, which is a lot of tunes and probably accounts for what a lot of your co-workers are doing with their headphones in all day.
