Overwatch's Torbjörnwill to be hit by nerfhammer

Overwatch hero Torbjörnwill is next in line to be nerfed as next month’s patch will see his turrets do 30% less damage.

His turrets are more of an issue on console, which is why the patch will only be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Game director Jeff Kaplan responded to a Reddit thread and said that the patch will be released “mid to late July.”

Torbjörnwill can build turrets, which are then controlled by AI, locking onto targets and gunning them down. On PC, players have a mouse and keyboard at their disposal, meaning that they are far more capable of taking aim and damaging the turrets than their console counterparts.

Console players have taken to social media platforms in droves to voice their complaints and there have been multiple GIFs and videos of the damage that Torbjörnwill is capable of on consoles.

The reduction of damage is to ensure that Torbjörnwill’s turrets provide support rather than holding down a battlefield on their own.
