Pebble accidentally reveals new watch with colour display

Pebble is due to announce its newest smartwatch later today, but jumped the gun on its own website.

Its next smartwatch, which features a colour display, was accidentally leaked on GetPebble.com. The image showed the smartwatch features a yellow colored e-paper-like display, a larger bezel, and smaller buttons than the device’s predecessor.

That’s all that’s known from Pebble’s leak, but there have been reports in previous weeks regarding the device’s specs. Apparently, the Pebble Watch will run on a faster Cortex M4 processor with a 6-axis gyroscope, features a microphone, and includes Nuance- voice recognition software.

It is expected that the new Pebble Watch will retail for around the same price as the Pebble Steel, which costs $199. Unsurprisingly, Pebble has since removed the picture of its upcoming smartwatch from its website.

Pebble will officially announce its new smartwatch later today.
